My research focuses on understanding the relationships between poverty, health, and human capital. This interest includes understanding the socioeconomic determinants of healthy child development and evaluating the costs of poor health for individuals and families.

I hope by improving our understanding of how environments of poverty can influence healthy development and achievement, my research will help to inform policies aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged children.
